I am searching for evidence proving Williams birth location and parents. Lots of people try to tie this William Galloway to the Baltimore Galloway branch. I cannot prove or disprove this but would like to. William Galloway b. Abt. 1743 - d. Bef. 18 Jan 1809 Chocowinity, Beaufort, NC, m.(1) Martha Patty Crofton b. Abt. 1747 - d. 1787 Chocowinity, Beaufort, NC, m.(2) Mary(unknown) b. Abt. 1778 - d. 1810 Chocowinity, Beaufort, NC.
Hi Cuz, long time. I'm just letting you know that I'm on this forum, too. My GED Match #A680848 and my maternal uncle, Royce Galloway is #T238837.
My earliest Galloway is Charles Galloway, b. 19 Nov 1758 Orange County, NC, d. 25 Oct 1846 Calloway County, KY.
Ancestry believes (through their algorithm) that his possible father is Thomas S. Galloway (1723-1813 in Rockingham County, NC). I have not proved or disproved that, yet.
The names Thomas and Samuel are in my Galloway line to note.
Further back in our DNA match list on FTDNA, I keep noticing the Gallagher surname. Hmmm. Lots to do.
