Deed: Reading Blount to Isaac & Emanuel Edwards (Beaufort County, NC)

The following is a deed between Reading Blount and Isaac & Emanuel Edwards of Beaufort County, North Carolina.

This Indenture made this 12th of March in the year of our Lord 1793 between Reading BLOUNT of the County of Beaufort State of No Carolina of the one part and Isaac EDWARDS & Emanuel EDWARDS of the County & Province aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of Twenty Pounds lawful money in hand paid to the said Reading BLOUNT by sd Isaac EDWARDS & Emanuel EDWARDS their heirs & assigns have given Granted & bargained ?sold assigned & set-over unto the Sd Isaac EDWARDS & Emanuel EDWARDS [illegible] their heirs & assigns a parce of land lying in the County aforesaid containing one hundred & twenty Acres of land adjoining to his Plantation So side thereof on the bottom of [four words illegible] acres [description continues to the bottom of the page, but is very smeared and blurry] No 120 pole to a pine, thence Et to the beginning being the lower part of the Patent of 640 Acres granted to the said Reading Blount.    To have and to hold the afsd. premises with ever advantage of every kind as to the Sd land belonging unto them the Sd Isaac EDWARDS & Emanuel EDWARDS them & their heirs forever & the Sd. Reading Blount do hereby warrant & defend the bargained premises unto the said Isaac & Emanuel EDWARDS & their heirs & assigns —
