My grandmother, May Simpson Windley (1897-1990), was a daughter of Eastern North Carolina and was one of the most influential people in my life. She did her best to track family lines before the age of the internet and inspired me to research my family further.  I am a member of the Mayflower Society, Jamestowne Society and Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).  I am currently working on my application for Order of First Families of North Carolina.
