I, Nancy Cox of the County of Craven and State of North Carolina, and wife of Eli J. Cox, of same County and State, being of sound mind and disposing memory do leave this my last will and testament

Viz: the first, I leave to my husband Eli J. Cox, my land as he should remain on it or during his natural life and at his death or when he shall cease to live on the land, it is my desire that the land shall go into the possession of my daughter Sarah Moye Watson, to be hers in fee simple forever, provided she has children, but should she die childless, it is my desire that my daughter Louisa Ann Watson should have it in fee simple forever. I further give to my daughter Sarah Moye Watson my bed and furniture my Wheel and loom, in witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 2nd day of May 1858.

Craven County Court, December Term A.D. 1858, The foregoing last will and testament of Nancy Cox is ??? in open court, and in due ??? of law, by the oath and examination of the J.? Hartsfield and W. L. Kilpatrick,subscribing witnesses thereto, ordered by the court that said will be registered and filed.
