John Anderson of Craven County gives whole estate to Nathan and James Anderson (1798)

It would appear from the deed below that Nathan and James ANDERSON are sons of John ANDERSON of Craven County, as this is John giving his life estate to Nathan and James.


2 April 1798

State of North Carolina
Craven County

To all Persons whom these may Concern
Know Ye that I John ANDERSON doth give, grant, set over to James ANDERSON and Nathan ANDERSON, all my whole Estate that is to say all my land, Household furniture whatsoever I now possess to have and to hold forever to their own proper use and behoof and in Consideration thereof the sd James & Nathan ANDERSON doth Covenant and agree to maintain the said John ANDERSON and Wife and in Consideration thereof I do hereby put the sd James and Nathan ANDERSON in full possession have and to hold forever to them & their Heirs & Assigns, the party having set their hands & seals this 2d day of April 1798.
